“Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.” Hebrews 13:15
“The word enchantment suggests becoming one with God through chanting.”
The definition of healing is “making or becoming sound and healthy”. Chanting is a well-proven, powerful, historical tool for transforming consciousness that affects our energy, mind, body, and spirit. Sound is a bridge between spirit and matter. In this vocal meditation, we can sing our prayers and praises. Our breath becomes one with Him, and the silence between our musical utterances grows quiet and crystalline.
“Before the world was, all was in sound. God was in sound. We are made of sound.”
Our very breath is made audible in a unique tone. God created our one-of-a-kind voice to align, balance, and heal our one-of-a-kind body and spirit. Chanting induces our breathing to slow, deepen, and become more rhythmic. This causes muscles to relax and reduces blood pressure and heart rate. Unprocessed experiences or traumas that cling to our energy field can be released. Physical changes extend from reducing the production of stress-related hormones to increased levels of critical proteins such as interleukin-1. Our brainwave patterns change, evolving into states of homeostasis or creative energy. Sound vibrations resonate through the body, massaging us from the inside out. Researcher Alfred Tomatis calls sound a critical nutrient for brain growth as it stimulates and charges the neocortex with electrical impulses. Babies are born with a fully intact auditory system. The only bone fully formed at birth is the middle ear. The auditory system is connected to every muscle in the body, interacts with the cranial nerves that transport information to and from the brain, and maintains balance and orientation in space. Sound vibrations also enter the body through the bones, skin, and hair. This helps to infuse every system, organ, and cell with life force energy (aka prana, chi).
